Watch out for PFAS

Unveiling the PFAS Threat: Why You Should Avoid It

PFAS, a non-degradable substance linked to health issues, lurks in various products, including beauty items. Be a conscious consumer and seek clean alternatives.

Spot PFAS by looking for "PTFE," "polytef," "perfluoro," or "polyfluoro" in ingredient lists. At Blik, we prioritize toxin-free, sustainable products

PFAS is a substance that isn’t degradable and has been linked to liver damage, elevated blood lipid levels, gastrointestinal diseases, thyroid disorders, and even cancer. Surprisingly, it's not yet banned today and is present in a variety of products, especially in beauty products. That's why it's up to you, the consumers, to make active choices to eliminate these toxic products from the market.

We understand that ingredient labels can be confusing, making it hard to decipher anything at all. Don't worry, we've got your back. Here's a little guide to simplify your quest for clean beauty products.

If you spot words like "PTFE," "polytef," or if it has "perfluoro," "polyfluoro" in it, then you can bet it contains PFAS or a similar substance. Even Decafluoropentane and C9-15 (also C8-18) fluoroalcohol fall under PFAS.

At Blik, we take this incredibly seriously. It's a no-brainer for us to keep our products toxin-free and opt for pure, sustainable materials.
